GCCOA Softball Director Voting

Jason Weigle is stepping down from his GCCOA Softball Director position at the end of his term (June 1, 2026). Two individuals, Nate McGinnis and Pete Haggadone have expressed interest in being the next GCCOA Softball Director.

Please note the following voting requirements:
Eligibility: Voting is limited to GCCOA softball umpires whose MHSAA affiliation is listed as GCCOA and is an active paying dues member of the GCCOA.
Verification: You must provide your Arbiter email address to ensure membership and prevent duplicate entries.
Confidentiality: All votes remain strictly confidential.
Deadline: Votes must be submitted by the end of the day on Monday, March 30, 2026.

News, Updates, & Information

January 2026: Umpire Uniform (10-4-2): Heather gray pants will be phased out; navy or charcoal gray are the required standard (heather gray illegal Jan 1, 2027). 

January 2026: Softball meetings will be held at Bentley High School from 1-3 PM (prior to Baseball meeting) – meeting dates are posted on the Home page, Andi Oster will be guest speaker at the 2-22-2026 meeting — you must attend 2 out of the 3 meetings to satisfy one of the MIGS requirement

MHSAA Softball Ratings Card

Cards will be filled in duplicate (one for home and one for visitor). For DHs, two sets of cards should be printed. For tournaments where the teams are not known, umpires should print a number of blank cards to be completed prior to the start of each game.
